Ten local artists* use ten regional farms as vistas ranging from a pastoral sheep farm to a vibrant honey bee apiary. Exhibit Opening 9/6/08 coincides with Sewickley Harvest Fest. Artist Reception 9/12/08 coincides with Sewickley’s Fall Gallery Walk. In celebration of local foods and local farms of southwestern Pennsylvania, the Sewickley Gallery & Frame Shop and TABLE Magazine announces the Sewickley Farm Show, held during the Harvest Fest on September 6, with the exhibit opening from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Experience the flavors of our region through the eyes of talented artists at the Sewickley FARM SHOW. *Ten Local Artists: Ten Regional Farms: The gallery opening will show the artwork created from each farm through a multitude of media from oil painting to photography. Each artist has been assigned to a regional farm to create work that evokes the farm’s character, family, work and product. Saturday, September 6, 2008 The community event will correspond with the St. James Farmers Market and include local food sampling, farmers, and a selection of the artwork of the above artists in joint presentation with their farmer’s products at the market.
