Featured Artist for Sewickley’s Spring Gallery Walk. View her mixed media art from 5:30-9:00 p.m. on Friday, April 24. Images from the natural world: small animals, sea forms, plants and cellular organisms. Carolyn’s process is intuitive and combines printmaking, charcoal drawing, pastel and acrylics; while trying to remain aware of the formal elements that make for an interesting composition. She continues working until it would seem to suggest something real or imagined, or many possible things, like a Rorschach ink spot. She hopes to provide a visual meditation and respite for the viewer, however momentary. |
